Is this on Showtime or Starz? I heard about it but I don't think I get Starz...probably have to watch it when it comes out on DVD or something.
Is it better than the Charlton Heston movie?

It's on Starz
I haven't seen the old movie, but you have Lucy Lawless as an evil bitch in here. I mean, really, she sets up one of the main villainous girls to bone Spartacus, who she (the girl, Illythia) absolutely HATES because her husband ran a failed campaign in Thracian lands that Spartacus helped destroy! There's a lot of intrigue going on in 10 episodes so far and even though it's modeled after 300 (gorn, slow mo battles) the writing on it in a faux Shakespearean style intrigues without being interruptive. Respectfully it has a lot going for it. |
