TV Supernatural Two Minutes to Midnight

Anyone else keeping up this season? Lots of curveballs this season, the biggest for me personally was Death being DEATH. Like, the real deal. I don't know if the other horsemen are similar or what, but I wasn't really expecting him to be like, "I'll be the one who turns out the lights and locks the door when the universe is over" level. I don't think I've ever seen Dean quite that close to pants-wetting terror, and I don't really blame him.

Also surprising have been the allusions to a universe beyond humanity and Earth. Lucifer talked about how the pagan gods "ceded this world," and now Death has been talking about the broader universe. Kinda makes it sound like the angels didn't get here until things were in full swing. Then again, in Dean's vision of the future, Lucifer did call the world God's last perfect creation, so maybe he was here all along, and it was just them who got here later.

At any rate, things are going a bit too well, which leads me to believe this deal with the rings may well be a trick to get Sam to say yes. Lucifer did say he taught Gabriel everything he knows, after all.

Awesome art be here.

Supernatural is one of these rare shows that should be embraced. It started cool and funny, it escalated to awesome and it's now just one of the prime pieces of TV i've ever watched.

I'm a little behind this season and the way things are going i always fear the show won't last much more. But they manage to up the stakes every single season until now, always tying everything nicely together.

I do think they tend to abuse the "Time Travel" ploy, and the show gets a tad too much "Dean-centric" sometimes.

I'm going to put Death in the list of "things the Colt can't kill". Right up there with God, Lucifer, Michael and the Antichrist. And I think that's a full roster.

Nice to see Cass can still be badass without his angel mojo.

And I think the reason Dean didn't quite shit his pants is because he doesn't fully grasp just how powerful Death is. If I had to guess, I'd say causing the Great Flood took Death all of one second of concentration. But that's just my wild speculation.

I'm kinda hoping Death shows up again. I mean, did you see that badass intro he got?

This show is the only justification, sans Gossip Girl, for the CW's existence.

Where can they possibly go after this season?

I'd like for them to seriously go looking for God after trapping Lucifer so they can hold him accountable for abandoning mankind. Kinda like Preacher.

This show is in my honest opinion the only hope for quality TV currently, I watch other shows but none of them stack up to Supernatural. I have been watching since the second season and loving every hour. Everything gets dropped when it comes on.

The current season has been great, Death's introduction was amazing but what do you expect from the one horseman to actually be named in Revelations. That part about killing God made me thing how the hell he could do that if Lucifer (who Death admits is just a kid throwing a tantrum) has him on a leash. I don't know if Death will be able to kill God it might just be something he was lead to believe. But other than that Death had such an aura of power around him, the actor nailed it.

Can't wait for the season finale, the plot line of pretty much the entire show will come to an end. Knowing them it will be great. Bring on Carry on Wayward son.

Yeah, I wonder where they are going to go in the next season. The actors will at least stay, but I kinda worry about the fact that the show's creator isn't sure he wants to continue since he said this is his envisioned end of the show.

Word is Eric Kripke will step down as the head producer and the show will instead be run by long time member of the Supernatural team Sera Gamble. Kripke will still be an executive producer, but pretty much as soon as his vision is complete, he'll step into the background. What that means for the series is anyone's guess though, though I'm hoping they return to the season one and two style of visiting different towns with a monster of the week. Not that I haven't loved the over arching story that has developed, but it'd be refreshing to return to the weekly urban legend hunting.
