I really wish they'd reboot that series because the first movie always struck me as something "not completely horrible" and like something good could actually come out of movies based on the games.

I like its impressive attempt to make you think James Cameron is involved in it:

"FILMED WITH THE
JAMES /VINCENT
CAMERON/ PACE
FUSION CAMERA SYSTEM"

I guess its 3D, anyway.

One or two of the set pieces in this trailer would look impressive if this were something totally unrelated but since it is an RE movie starring Mila Jovovovich I can't be moved to even give it a chance.

Looks pretty good to me. Not necessarily anything like Resi5, but still not like a bad action flick given the sample material.

Don't worry, it is going to be bad. Super bad. The highly scripted and stylized hijinks of Milla Jovovovovich are incredibly annoying and have annoyed me ever since I saw Ultraviolet.
