DNS server changing automatically?

One of the guys in my office has an issue with his computer- basically it can ping ip addresses but not urls. I'm pretty sure its a DNS error (his DNS number is different from all the others in the office and nslookup doesn't reveal a known server) but our DNS servers are automatically assigned by our network so I'm not sure how he could have changed it (computer was working till recentely).
DNS server is still set to automatic.
Does anyone know of a virus or anything that would reroute the DNS server? Or if there is anything he could have changed to get this?

Edit: Running malwarebytes, hopefully this will fix it.
