Sonic 4 Thread 2 Episode 2 anounced
Can't seem to find the older thread. Anyway after Sonic 4 Episode 1 was shunned by the fan base a few of us thought Episode 2 was scraped. But it seems it's alive and well.
What's known is that Sega/Sonic Team is rather pissed that they had to scrap the old engine because the fans bitched too much about Ep1. So yeah Episode 2 will be mostly very different from 1 (unlike what they might have originally planned) in that it has a new engine now. May not link up to the old game so it's its own thing for now. Probably won't have any remake levels. And might be better the the previous game. Keep in mind that as of Late Sega's been getting better with Sonic so after 2 successfully decent projects, this one's a guaranteed decent game. Any hopes/speculations?

You need to get moving faster, and move faster when not running. If there are enemies with spikes that the game expects you to homing attack, you need to be able to anticipate that they'll be there and can do the spikey thing, instead of them just coming out of nowhere. You need to be able to replay Special Stages outside of the regular ones after reaching them once, even if you don't beat them. Replaying stages to replay special stages is bullshit. There should be no recycled bosses and very little stage recycling. Thus is my list of demands. Meet them or meet my indifference.

I never played Episode 1 because the Half Life 2 sequels turned me off of episodic content forever. DLC or bust, guys. I'm not waiting a year to play the next quarter of the game I bought.
...How'd the first one turn out, though, by the way? I never checked up on it. I mean objective quality-wise, not the fans hating it because it's different.

I did a review of it
Short version: Good elements, but also a ton of frustrating stuff and way, way, way too much recycling to really be worth buying.

Meh it was alright to me. I haven't played the old games in so long I didn't even notice they were recycled till someone pointed it out.
