A British Comedy Thread
We have been watching 'That Mitchel and Webb Look' on Netflix. Apparently they also have a previous tv show and radio show or podcast (David Mitchel and Robert Webb). I have seen Mitchel in a few other things (QI, and he has another sitcom of sorts with Webb that I didn't much care for, and also his youtube channel).
But basically Sir Digby Chicken Ceaser is the best thing especially in it's use of 'Devil's Gallop' and what is, I guess, called a Snorricam - Though it is extremely offensive to the homeless and possibly the mentally ill.

I want to like Red Dwarf but so far only Cat (The Cat?) and Holly have been entertaining.
And then they changed Holly's actor to some chick and I was like 'psh whatever'

As a poor American without even BBC America to my name, I tend to have to rely on PBS running Monty Python from 40 years ago and Keeping Up Appearances reruns from 20 years ago to get my dose of British humor.

If you haven't seen it, try The IT Crowd. After it gets past it's initial awkward few episodes, it's honestly one of the funniest sitcoms ever.
Case in point, the gay musical episode which is just a masterclass in sitcom writing. |

Did you deliberately miss "poor" there? Well, in this case, it is being poor in bandwidth, I suppose, as Netflix isn't too expensive. I live in a rural area with a 200 MB bandwidth cap per day, except for the ungodly hours of 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. So I can download stuff at night but watching something streaming is basically impossible. So LEGALLY I'd have to buy episodes of these things off of whatever, iTunes? to watch them (obviously by capitalizing legally you have surmised the truth about how I watch many, many things. Let's just say that my nighttime downloading time has been spent on hour-long drama series as opposed to comedies, unfortunately).

'Qwikster' will still snail-mail DVDs for $8 or whatever.
