Bah, I was trying to write an insightful post and just wound up with a wall of text that was tripping over itself while I was trying to make my thoughts clear.
Truth-be-told, I'm more upset over the blatant bigotry and ignorance found in the comments than I ever would have been had the organization ultimately turned her down. What will really piss me off is if she wins/loses solely because of the controversy so really, I kind of wish they had turned her down to avoid the stories that will pop up regardless of the outcome. At this point, "she can't win or lose based on her own merits".
