What is this? (A Superman/Wonder Woman Makeout thread)
Did I miss something? Did Wonder Woman and Batman break up? What's Superman doing with his tongue down Wonder Woman's throat? Here's a short article about this madness: Quote:

Diana instead of Lois Lane....
There is about 100 "Super Sex" Jokes that can be done about this. Still... Batman X Wonder Woman, to my money, is a much more interesting story to explore. |

Oh Clark, you rocked my world.
Yeah, this romance has been done before, in a number of alternate timelines and with a number of various alternate company equivalents. It's good for about a week of funny superpower sci-fi sex stories, but it's too boring to last. Certainly it would be in character for Superman to become a perfect family man, responsibly raise a raggle of super-rugrats and set the standard for white hetero marriages, and I don't suppose it would be unthinkable for Wonder Woman either. (I don't really know what kind of character she is, and I doubt there's three of her writers who would agree with each other about it.) But it's not going to make for interesting reading. I expect one or both of these lovers are going to have to act like dumbasses for there to be any point with their relationship dramaturgically speaking. They're inevitably going to become lesser characters - either because they break up too soon or not soon enough. In the hands of a very good writer this could serve to humanize these iconic characters, but, well, that's pretty much directly contrary to both the basic idea of Superman and the basic philosophy of mainstream DC Comics. Not to mention the distinct lack of very good writers being involved. So I expect it's more of a cheap grab for cheap drama to boost sales with a lot less forethought put into it than Mr. "This is the new Status Quo" Johns wants to admit.

I think it was Mallrats where the characters had an argument over whether Superman should marry Lois Lane or not. The one character goes, "He should marry Wonder Woman. Only her womb is capable of containing his Super fetus without killing her."

Oh my gosh that cover is so ridiculous-looking. XD
I dunno. Maybe Superman is tired of having to rescue Lois every twenty minutes and wants to be in a relationship where he's not constantly babysitting his partner.

If you notice they are not actually quite kissing there on that cover. Is that going to be the "TO BE CONTINUED" cliffhanger, that they are ABOUT to kiss? Gotta get the fans to come back next month.
