So which MMO will win?
Which one do you guys think is going to come out on top? World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, Guild Wars or that new Ultima Online thing?

If you mean 'win' as in sell the most, then my guess is WoW. No real reason in particular, just my gut instinct.
By the way, this should probably go under video games.

I noticed that after I posted it and spent the next 30 minutes looking for a way to move it.

mods will probably catch up with you at some point and move it
I think WoW will out-do all it's competitors. However, I may be a 90yr old grandmother by the time it's finally released. >.>

I don't know...words getting out that its basically Everquest with purty vistas...
I'm hoping Guild Wars will do ok, but it seems to be awfully 'hacker-open'... |

WoW has a good chance at breaking into the MMORPG market in a major way, but I have serious doubts that it will be able to outsell EQ2.
Hell, that sector of the gaming market is so overcrowded that even MS is backing out with the cancellation of True Fantasy Live Online. And I'll be goddamned if that isn't the absolute worst name for a game ever concieved. As for me, I'm doing just fine with FFXI. |

I think that WoW has a excellent change of being the nest new MMORPG, but I have a feeling that EQ2 will win the numbers game.

Guild Wars will more than likely win, actually. It uses the battle.net 'Pay once, never more' mechanic, which is always extremely popular compared to 'Pay sometimes every month until you are broke' that WoW and such entails.
