Oh shit, a Steam Autumn Sale, NOT ENOUGH MONEY
Guaranteed to leave you penniless for the inevitable Christmas sale. There's currently 48 hour deals as well as flash deals between 9-16 hours at this time.
Rather than type everything out manually, I'll screenshot it for your pleasure. It'll all be in Britty squids, but the percentages should be the same wherever you live. Probably. But seriously, it'd probably be better if you wait one more month until ransacking your funds. F'instance, Darksiders 2 was cheaper when it was on midweek sale just last week, and it'd probably be back to that price by then. Then again, that sale didn't discount the DLC.

Downside of all the chrimbo sales of the past is i pretty much have all i want. Might be a thing here or there, but it is unlikely.
It's like that nef now comic. Steam veteran of war makes the wallet a safe wallet. |

XCOM didn't exist last year, however.

Yeah, but i still jumped on that shit day one. Might gift it to a friend, though. Depends on if he wants it or not.

Don't miss the daily indie deals too, some cracking prices over that way (1.74 for World of Goo and Cave Story+, you can do much worse, and Fortune Summoners is a lot of super-adorable fun)
As always, the rule of steam sales if there's something you want: 1) Is it on Daily Deal? Buy it. 2) Is it on Flash Sale? Buy it. 3) Is it discounted, but not on either Daily Deal or Flash Sale? Wait until the last day. Especially for indie titles, games often get discounted to 50% only to later appear in a daily offer at 75% off. If you can handle waiting 5 days, you might save yourself some money. I've been trading and amassing some small wealth in TF2 items waiting for this occasion so I will be buying a few things in exchange for keys/metal if anyone is interested. Nothing today though! |

I reccomend X-com and Darksiders II(Even if I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one). Gonna see if I can snatch Walking Dead.
edit: First Darksiders is at 75%, it's a dark Zelda-styled game with nice combat. The second has RPG elements instead but still is pretty good. |

There must be some pretty rad sales going on, as I can't connect to the steam server this morning.

Do I chance getting X-com now or waiting to see if it ends up in a flash sale later?

In past sales, flash sale prices were always the same as daily deals. It's just a matter of chance on whether something pops up there that doesn't go daily, or an opportunity to get it again if you missed the daily and vice versa.
