Daily Mail bullies trans woman into suicide
SOURCE
Read the whole thing. In case anyone is so awful as to suggest that because she didn't commit suicide till three months later the Daily Mail isn't to blame or some shit, her name being published in it probably opened her up to a lot of hatemail and more personal attacks than she may have already faced beforehand. I am disgusted and I am angry, and I don't have any patience or calm in me right now.

Objectively The Third Worst

Absolutely fucking despicable and disgusting in all senses of those words and any synonyms. Nobody deserves what the Daily Mail did to this person, least of all a woman who only ever wanted to be happy and help children.

First of all i really don't think anybody here would truly suggest that there is such a thing as a "expiration date" on this sort of Harassment. At least for me, this is not Bullying... it's harassment.
As for your anger. Don't. As someone who understands the issue on a level that many still can't, your opinion cares more weight, and having it bathed in anger will only hamper your ability to speak for someone who can no longer speak for herself. Also... i hope you didn't look into the comment section of the Daily Mail... If there is any silver lining to this that i may offer, can we on the very least acknowledge how the school supported her choice? Although their efforts were undone by this tabloid... and quite frankly, seeing some of the other stuff by the same author of the original article... it doesn't get better. |

Meanwhile, the Press Complaints Commission, in presumably the UK, rules that anti-trans hate speech from newspapers is 100% okay so long as ALL trans people are targeted rather than anyone specific.
EDIT: Oh, neat, I guess the PCC has one of the Daily Mail's owners on their board of directors.

I've been advocating on Twitter that someone burn down the Daily Mail offices.

Yeah, nope. Can't handle this. Going to go do something distracting and try to pretend the world isn't filled with unmitigated evil.
