Iron Man 3 ! Now with interchangeable action armor!
Now all those toys that come out after every movie with a super hero where you have the Hero with some stupid color-coded armor that never appeared anywhere ever and it's just ridiculous improbable?
I think Iron Man 3 is going to be the first movie to actually validate that. So, here we are... the premiere of Iron Man. The reviews are in, and if Rottentomatoes has any value to you, 95% fresh seems good enough... Criticism exists... the first part of the movie apparently is slow. The overall movie is said to not be as tight of a package as the first two were, but an overall entertaining, fun, well made super hero epic. Hey... i could expect much worst. Also, the post-ending credits scene was already leaked, and i saw it and i'm going to say what it is right here. It is NOT spoileriffic, it is safe to read. But if you want the surprise for yourself, don't click it... the movie is already coming out just now, just go see it. Essentially, Stark was telling the whole story to Bruce Banner, like it was some sort of Psychiatry appointment or sommesuch. But banner is asleep due to the boringness of it all. It is just a Funny extra. However, it is NOT confirmed at this point if this is the same as the Avengers where there are TWO post credit scenes, so be warned. This thread is for your commentary and reviews! Bring it! |

I guess I do remember hearing something about it being released earlier somewhere that I am not.
Very well then, carry on. But realize that I'm flipping you the bird so hard right now. |

Yeah, going to see this on the weekend with a friend. It's out today here, but the first 2 days are 3d only, and neither of us care about 3d.
And Bells I really hate you right now, I really want to click that spoiler text and see what it reveals, but I also really want to just wait and see it with the movie too.

EDIT: Like seriously just to bitch about Iron Man 2 a bit more, that movie had sixty subplots: 1. Tony's alcoholism/dying. 2. Tony's daddy issues. 3. Tony's love life issues. 4. Tony's legacy issues. 5. Tony's friendship issues. 6. Tony's political and military issues. 7. Two villains, one pointless, the other poorly handled. That's the opposite of tight. If this one is "slower" it probably means its better...or worse. Last edited by Magus; 04-26-2013 at 08:39 PM. |

To be fair most of those issues can be said to have stemmed from the fact he was dying and was trying to get his successors (Pepper and Rhodes) set up to take over his legacy at Stark Industries and as Ironman respectively. The military issues come from him just trying to continue down the path from the first film and not letting his tech fall into the wrong hands and him letting his ego get in the way because, yano, he's Tony Stark.
I will admit Ivan was poorly handly though, he needed a lot more screentime fighting Stark to make him into a solid threat. EDIT; In somewhat* related news, I have just spent 2 days rewatching all the films in order to get in the right mind for this on sunday. My body is now prepared. I have also just read wikipedia and discovered to my horror/delight that Guardians of the Galaxy now has a release date for next year and Antman has indeed been greenlit. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about that last one. *Read, not really at all.

Ok....
just... a sec... GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Fuck... i had a HUGE wall of text (spoilered of course) about this movie, i JUST saw it. Have a MILLION discussion points (and unanswered questions) but i just can't type that whole wall again... i'll take it as the bait is given after you guys watch the movie... go see it. It's a good movie. Then come back here and give me something, cause holy hell does this movie leaves a lot open for speculation... Also... 2 things that MUST be in the avengers 2 because this movie allows for that to exist while never admiting Pepper pots as Iron Woman. Has to happen. THis movie already wasted that opportunity. Red Skull as the guy behind it all. Has to happen. Thanos needs a second gear Villain to be on the forefront. Also here is a Spoiler out of context : IRON MAN 3 : PARASITE EVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Just one more thing. Semi-Spoiler for the villain. When Ben Kingsley tells you "You never see me coming" you better fucking believe it. He is talking to YOU Last edited by Bells; 04-27-2013 at 11:30 PM. |
