The new Power Rangers are going Dark Knight...
Go go.....Power Rangers?
It seems that along with a redesign, the Rangers are getting a dark and brooding "grounded in realism" story. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/...11b69?section= Quote:

That's always the best case scenario.
I'm honestly still super positive for it. I might not have agreed with the Cranston Casting (I was hoping for David Yost as Zordon) but I'll take it. |

So we are clear

I'm not as cynical as I would be say, just five years ago. I think we've gotten enough away from "its more mature because its dark and edgy" mentality that it wont automatically be that. Honestly what worries me more is "realistic high school life" because movies are always woefully out of touch to what modern high school life is like.
Still Power Rangers hasn't been the silly cartoony version since, well the original mighty morphin days. Death, sacrifice, actual collateral damage have been around for awhile. Remember there was a version of Power Rangers where most human life on Earth was wiped out. I'll be fine as long as its more Marvel movie than DC movie on the dark and gritty scale.

Armor certainly provides more protection than nylon.

I don't think nylon showers sparks when hit by attacks.
