Matrix: The Next Generation Sign Up

A quick search didn't turn up anything so I don't think this has been done. The premise is quite simple. It is a generation after the truce that ended the great war. While most machines/programs have no problem with the new arrangement they are not about to help the humans leave. That being said the few machines/programs that have not accepted this new development are not willing to part with their major power source just yet. There is no help to be had from machines as they have made it clear the humans must fend for themselves now. Without the checks imposed by the architect programs have begun to grow much stronger than normal. The postive side of this is that the focus powers of humans have gotten stronger as well. Not everyone has awakened but very few are still unaware of the true nature of the matrix. The most basic goal of this RP is to convince people to leave the matrix while fending off the rouge programs. The Neo character has not been reborn; nor will he be in the near future. So for now the survivers must look to themselves for salvation. So if your interested post here and I'll post a char sheet if I get enough responses.

This sounds like the premise of that Matrix Online thing.

I know nothing of the matrix online so if there is any simularity its not intended. Once i get enough interest I'll put up a character sheet and explain a little more.

I'm calling mine Bass. Everyone in the trilogy seems to have something that isn't a real name, so mine should make sense.

Name: Insaniac
Gender: Male
Appearance: Standard black leather for men routine from the movies. Has oily, nappy black hair and pale skin. His eyes are hazel and bloodshot.
Favored armament: A machete in one hand and an Ingalis in the other.
Bio: A sociopathic hacker from his time in the Matrix, he was one of the people believed to be the one. Although he didn't make the cut, he was noted for being able to succeed in the jump program the first try and the ability to walk on walls for longer periods than most. He's not the one, but he's the only one to stand against an agent for even a while and not get killed. For reference, he ran away after the rest of his team escaped.

I wasn't looking for all that, but I guess that means your in. Your probably going to have to edit that a little.

Here is a little more info. There are 10 major programs, like that stupid frenchman, that control the matrix now. They have divided it up and chnaged the code so that it looks nothing like it did originally. There are still some city parts but the terrian as a whole is much more varied. The search for the One no longer goes on, but the legend is still told. Also, agents are much less than what the once were, (I'm making things up now) because they drew power from the architect and he no longer has his old power. Although, he no longer has his old power the Architect is one of the 10 major controlling programs that are at war for control. Thus agents still exsit but are limted because of the reduced power of the Architect.

So what you're saying is that virtually anybody could be considered Neo for the lack of Agent power.

The army of Huang Yao Shi grinds to a halt as to avoid wading through grass. That's for "common" armies. Much like Gao Hu's, who's invasion force reaches the border and sits in ambush for any fleeing units of Huang Yao Shi. In the grass. Cao Zhen, however, continues to follow the road, as grass is too green for his liking this time of year. You ain't got no K-Mart!
