Default Heroclix Redux

Since I'm not particularly fond of thread necromancy, I'm not going to revive that old thread from February that only has three posts in it. Instead, I'm going to make this new thread.

So, I just recently learned how to play Heroclix, and I find it to be pretty fun and amusing, depending on the group I'm playing with(a group that makes a lot of funny comments like: "My Arwen is now going to shoot an arrow up your Rogue's ass." and "Your Arwen misses Rogue's ass and instead hits her right boob." is a lot funnier than a group that just makes dull comments: "My Arwen targets your Rogue. Hit. Take two clix damage."). It's a pretty easy game to pick up and learn; I just learned last night and I kicked one long-time player's ass(and would have kicked another one's ass except he had the Hulk, who gets stronger as he get gets deader).

So, those who're new or thinking about playing, feel free to ask questions. People who do play, feel free to talk about it! Like, your (least-)favorite character you've used, (least-)favorite team, (least-)favorite scenario, etc. Or complain about what doesn't make sense about the game.

Last night, I opened up a Indy Clix starter set of 10 to fin myself treated to a Rasputin and Witchblade, among other things, so I threw them into my team. Then I threw in a Psylocke and Rogue since I like 'em. As it turned out, Witchblade and Rasputin are range characters, and Psylocke gives a bonus to all ranged characters adjacent to her, so that was fun. Not to mention Rasputin, costly as he may be, was awesome, and better with Psylocke next to him. I made most of my kills with Rasputin, in fact.

Now here's what doesn't make sense to me: Why do they hve to many notches on the flying stands? Seriosuly, maybe three, but...six or seven? There's only two modes, and if your peg isn't at the base, it's obvious your character isn't in "hover" mode so that only leaves "soaring" mode. Also, why can't soaring characters on flat ground hit characters on "elevated" ground? Come on, the character is flying, I would imagine they're on the same level as the elevated character.
