I have some news. Cause of my connections to Square Enix, I was able to convince someone to make Sword Chucks for the game. Thats right, SWORDCHUCKS.

If you want one, there will be a tournement for them in the Shiva server, 7:00 PM Saturday. The Derfland Region south of The Grand Duchy of Jeuno. Look for the player Kaori.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE (ENIX)

*Note: there will be 1 for each server. I will post when I get an update.

If only I had FFXI. I had to talk the person into doing it. It seems the people at Square Enix love 8bit too. I told Kaori and she showed some of her workers.

How? Forgive my skeptisim, but it seems odd that Sqaure would include an item like that, just from the suggestion of some guy... even with these connections you speak of...

The actual in-game model of the Sword-Chucks isn't quite done yet. I was hoping for some refrence for color. If someone could give me the comic number it would be much apreciated.

Yes the eymployees of SE are big fans of 8-Bit. Some of us have t-shirts.

Edit: If you want to know how then...

First I'll create the weapon. Pixel by pixel. Adding texture and details...then I'll color those pixels. I'll save it to a disc. Go down to theserver comp and import the weapon onto file char.//Kaori.inv.slo.6 and it will be on my character....then whoever wins...i'll trade it to them. Easy as that.

I used to play FFXI. Fun game for a few months but when it started to take away from School work and I got a couple C's in Math I had to stop. Sword-Chucks in the game however sounds awesome. Just want to know what job? I'd guess WAR, PLD, and/or NIN and faily high level requirement. I can see a few other jobs using them but those three make most sence (To me at least). I'd like to see some screens/vids of people using them though, I mean while they are sword cucks I doubt there'll be a bunch of cool tricks and stuff, like to see what two attack things would be used. However one thing... what type of weapon are they? Sword makes since (Duh) but they would be two handed (Hopefully). I can see them acting as Katanas but then only Ninja's could use them, inless there is some sort of special acception for these weapons where they act as Katanas but registered as Sword.

Well since I dont want to shun the mages from this It will be compatible to all jobs and races. Theres no footage yet because I have yet to import them to my characater. Soon possibly.

Seems to me the higher-ups wouldn't like for their programmers to just add things to the live servers all willy-nilly.

I am one of those "higher ups." But I also am a high-level player/admin of the game and I would like to keep it interesting. Not only by making completely new areas for high level characters (Like in the Chains of Promethia expansion) but adding little events when I can.

Also can someone just tell me the color? If I dont get this done then there wont be a tournament.

Oh and Klyco...I never said anything about 1 for each server....
