Second Edition D&D: Who still plays it?

I looked around a bit to find a way to play D&D online, but I ran into this problem: most people seem to have upgraded to the Third Edition rules and those following, and that's not something I'm going to do.

So, who still plays Second Edition? And who among those know how and like to play a campaign online? Possibly with the Player's Option rules...

I wasn't sure if this was an appropriate question for the Stickied question thread, but I had to post it somewhere, sometime.

It shouldn't be too hard to adapt. Just take a look at the new character sheets, and read up online. Don't be afraid to ask questions

Er no, I'll just stick to Second Edition, like I said. If I was to start playing a new game, I wouldn't choose a slight variation on one of those I already play.

All my materials are AD&D 2nd Ed.

I have IMRPed in AOL but we tend to not have character reccords or use dice for that.

It is also hard to find a good truely random dice generator, that is visable to all players. I think that is needed for avoiding distrust over the rolls.

I can imagine it now your Barbarian gets his knee sliced off by a Kobold and he wants to proove the saving throw, How can it be done?

Get the logistics worked out and I would be more than happy to join in with my Avariel, who is unfortunately still at level 1 due to frequent harms taking me out of the game before completing a quest.

I spend most of my time helping prove that a DM's choice of monsters exist anyway having an extensive "Monsterous Manal" versions 1, 2 and the Forgotten Realms Expansion.

Yeah, the honor system might be out on this one. There's nothing determined for a specific game yet, but I guess this step is essential to see who might play. Beyond that, anything goes yet.

he means proving that the monsters the DM brings into the game actually exist and aren't just invented to hurt the players specifically.

but what are the chances that everyone who wants to play will have AOHell?
