Default S.W.A.T. (sign-up take II)

In our present day, there are some situations that call for certain extreme measures. In terms of law enforcement, this is usually found (in extreme situations) in the form of a S.W.A.T. team. These elite teams are equipped to deal with almost any threat they may encounter, and are as close to the military as can be found in an urban environment.

Of all law enforcement, S.W.A.T. are known for either being the closest to the letter of their training, or the farthest from it. They are the true example of the best that can be found.

They are trained to deal with obsessive criminals, and can do so with impunity. Yet lives are rarely lost except in extreme situations.

Right. Desperately felt the need to revive something. A ta-da.

Now, J-Man, Wolf99x and Dante are helping me on this. Every time we start a new chapter, we'll be in four teams, each team led by Wolf, J man, Dante, or Me respectively.

We pwn you.

Also....having multiple snipers with quotes about their unparrelelled accuracy may look good on paper, but in reality it's pointless. Recon isn't really a viable position.

And above all, we do not kill indiscriminately. You can shoot to kill ay any time, but you'll only avoid punishment if you do so in an extreme circumstance (That I will post...that will be painfully apparent.)

With that said....do your thing.
**

Basic Equipment.

All SWAT members come are equipped with a baseline set of equipment. This includes…

MP5 Assault rifle- A relatively light, compact, and relatively accurate assault rifle. Can be switched to full automatic, and can be given a laser sight.

Glock 9 combat pistol- A light, fairly accurate pistol. It packs a decent punch for it’s size, and is a fairly versatile weapon. Options underslung on the barrel are typically either a flashlight, or a laser sight, giving it the appearance of a SOCOM almost.

KR6 Kevlar body armour- Fairly light, kevlar/flak body-armour. Offers good protection against small arms fire, and can withstand a variety of rifle scale weapons.

Graphite joint protection- Essentially pads used for Inline Skating, or Skateboarding. These are used to guard joints from any excessive harm during falls and repelling.

Goggles- Goggles that are perfectly transparent, but also auto polarizing to guard against flash grenades.

WM-2774 Urban Combat Knife- Though this is technically a switchblade, and thus illegal, SWAT is authorized to carry this. It comes camo coated in black and dark grey, and measures 3.38 inches when closed. This is generally considered excessive, but certain situations demand extremes.

E1 helmet- A flak/aluminum helmet. It guards against most weapons fire.

G4 Flashlight- A handheld industrial flashlight. Can be attached to an MP5

(I couldn’t think of a brand name) Radio- Built into the helmet, and the typically mouth/nose ski mask worn, this provides complete communication with all of your squad.

Optional Equipment.
(Please note this isn’t a definitive list, just some examples. And note, that when you take something, if it has a “relative” in the basic list, it replaces it. Repeat. THESE ARE SUGGESTIONS. This is basically stuff you bought with your own money, and is not the precinct's responsibility. If you take a rifle, it replaces the MP5. If you take a pistol, it replaces the other pistol. And generally you'll lose the option of putting ever useful flashlights on it)

G36- A larger, heavier assault rifle. It has a drum feed instead of a scythe. However, it shoots far harder than the MP5, and is more accurate. Can be given a flashlight and laser scope just like the MP5, but also boasts the option for an underslung launcher.

M95 sniper rifle- An armour penetrating sniper rifle. Excellent range and balance.

Tear Gas canisters- Can be thrown or launched through a launcher. Excellent for subduing suspects.

Sleep Gas canisters- Much like the Tear Gas canisters, but these however knock a suspect out for at least an hour.

Smoke canister- Used to give SWAT cover to enter a room. Basically a combination of black powder and sugar. It goes off, creates a lot of smoke, then dissapates.

Pen Light- Small flashlight that can be used for fine detailing.

Headset comm- Is independent from the helmet and mask, but fits inside. It’s mounted on your ear, and even has a small light on it.

MP115 Pistol- This is larger than the Glock, and heavier. However, it hits far harder, albeit at a slight loss of accuracy. Can take the same options.

GP3 combat shotgun- This is a hand-pumped shotgun. Fires a 10 gauge buckshot standardly, but can have ammunition altered to suit the situation.

WM-2785 combat knife- This is exactly like it’s smaller brother, the WM-2774, except this is larger, sharper, and serrated. It measures 4.31 inches when closed. Many overseeing judges find this weapon to be unorthodox, and grudgingly allow it’s continued use.

(These are just ideas, keep that in mind.)

Basic Squad Tactics.

Neutralization- Two members take up covering positions, spraying fire to keep suspects down. A third launches either tear gas, or sleep gas to disable the suspects.

Frog Leap- Dividing into groups of four, as the unit advances through a building, one group goes ahead the first available cover and gets into covering positions, then the next moves past them repeating. They continuously switch places while advancing.

Fallback- Instead of flat out running, this is a reversal of the frog leap. Each group covers the other while making a withdrawal.

Nitty-Gritty (Not an actual name)- The squad launches a smoke grenade for cover, then enters a room an immediately. The moment that the suspect(s) show hostility, SWAT opens fire and drops all possible threats. Note this is highly dissaproved.

MP5s are not assault rifles, at least, not the kind commonly used by CTs. Even the 5.56 variants are more akin to carbines than anything else.

That said, I'll take an MP5SD6 using hotloads, among other things. The full details will be up soon.

I'll just say I'd like to join, but I'm having computer problems, so I won't be able to make anything for a while.

Well, I do have it on very good authority that S.W.A.T. does carry the MP5. And the guns are all real guns.

The rest of the equipment is BS though. Sounded neat at the time. Except the knives. Those are real.

And....yah. Dante? ...why did I ask you to do restrained?

No offence...but...we aren't going to be using computers. Like...at all.

And SWAT comes from normal police officers who are qualified.

Should I post a bio, even though I'm a team leader? And do the leaders get NPCs or PCs under our command?

And what about SWAT shields? Did you put those or did I just miss it?
