*NOT!* the end of Not Metal Gear...
... contrary to what some people might make you want to believe. Read through the thread for details.

I knew he had the flu, he mentioned it in one of his posts, but I really didn't think it was that bad.
And here everyone was thinking that they were gonna go through withdrawl for just a few episodes, now NMG is gone for good. The battle with ninja was only just beginning.... My heart goes out to his family, friends, and the rest of the site. I'm surprised there's been less comments in the randomsubstance forums. Goodbye Solid Snake. We will miss you. You can do the Konami Kode in the afterlife. |

I finished reading NMG around 10AM today, and sat there going "Heh, can't wait for the next one!"
Then I remembered and kicked myself. It's sad that Solid Shadow passed off, but what he did while he was up and about was just 100% priceless.

Uhm. Uh. Wow. I don't really have much I can say. He had a really great comic going, it was one of my favourites. Geez.
I'm changing my comic of the month, so as many people can see it as possible before it is gone. |

Yeah... I finished it last night... He sounded like a witty author. Though it didn't look like he updated all that often. Still.. a shame that he left way too early.

Oh my God. That's horrible. I mean, I want to say something, but I cannot think of anything appropriate. I hope his comics don't go offline because his work should live on. No one is really gone unless they are forgotten.

... So I just got back from a short vacation, decided to check the NuklearPower forum, and found out that I'm dead.
What a way to discover one's own demise. The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated. Folks, what has just happened was a cruel joke perpetrated by someone who has no affiliation with Random Substance, Not Metal Gear, or any of my work. Rogue Shadow and I were quite surprised to find that this person was able to post to my website, and needless to say, steps have been taken to ensure that this doesn't happen again. To anyone whose feelings may have been tweaked over this, I'm very sorry. It is nice to know, however, that I was missed
