NPF Voice Chat Room
In the next few days I will be starting up a Nuklear Power voice chat room using Teamspeak. If you have a microphone and want to drop by, just click the link and download the program. When I've created the server, I'll post the ip address here. A few people from the AIM chat have already showed interest, so it's looking to be pretty neat. Also, this is the first time I'm trying to host anything from my college computer, so if you experience extreme lag we'll find someone else to host it.
[Edit] We're up and running! Check my next post in this thread to find out how to get to the room.

And we're live!
We're up and running smooth!
Okay, for those of you who haven't used Teamspeak before, here's what you do. First, go to their website I linked to in my first post. Download the client and install it. Go to the menu and click "quick connect". Type in the ip address 209.193.49.59 and your nickname (don't use the "login name" line just yet). Tomorrow I'll check in first thing in the morning. I will register whoever I see in the room so you are granted more priviledges. I will do this for anyone who comes in. I don't think you need to be registered to use voice, but if you do, just stay in the room until I come in and do it for you. After you are registered, you can use the login name line and password line when logging in to access your new priviledges. There is also text chat in there, although I still prefer AIM for that. Whenever you see a white box next to my name with a red X through it, it means I'm away. I'll try to be in as much as possible to make sure it's still running smoothly. Oh, and you might have to configure your microphone by clicking "settings" on the menu bar and going to "sound input".

I actually want to try it out tonight. 1) because I want to see if you need to be registered to use voice and 2) because I'm impatient. The server will be up all day, though. So drop by any time. I might not be there at the time, but odds are I'll be back soon.

The server's behaving pretty good so far, but I guess it will when there's only one person in it. When/if any of you decide to take a visit, if your voice gets bad echoing or feedback in your headphones or speakers, just tell me and I'll tweak the settings. I haven't had a chance to experiment yet because I haven't had anyone to experiment with. So, if anything goes wrong while you're there, a wizard did it.

Hmmm...well, I changed the server from clan to public, and I'll list the port number here along with the ip address. Maybe you need to add the port number too.
Or, maybe it's just the stupid internet connection here at the college. I'll check if I need certain ports opened by the techs here. For the rest of you, keep trying. [Edit] FIGURED IT OUT! Here's the real ip address. 209.193.49.59 I'll change it in the rest of my posts.
